The 2008 College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences Undergraduate Research Forum will be held on Wednesday, May 7 from 2–6 p.m. in the atrium of the Physics Research Building, 191 W. Woodruff Ave.
The forum is for all students majoring in or doing research in the College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences.
The forum will provide MAPS students the opportunity to present their research to their peers and their professors, polish their presentation skills, and prepare for the Denman Research Forum on May 14. Denman abstracts are due on March 31.
Abstracts are due on April 14. Progress report presentations by students whose research is not yet completed will be accepted.
All students submitting abstracts and presenting posters will be awarded $50 gift cards to Barnes & Noble. Larger prizes will be awarded at the forum for the best posters.
Volunteer faculty judges are needed.
Resources for students:
The Learning Commons in Sullivant Library has expanded and added a Multimedia Production Space. Information about the resources they offer, including people to help you and a large color printer, is available at library.osu.edu
Some of the School of Earth Sciences posters from last year's Forum are online.
The OSU Libraries are offering an undergraduate research prize.
